Series Details

Main Story (Film Adaptation)

The central storyline closely follows the animated movie:

Belle, a bright and independent young woman in a small French village, feels out of place among the townspeople.
Her father, Maurice, gets lost in the woods and seeks shelter in a mysterious castle.
The castle is home to a prince who has been cursed and transformed into a Beast, along with his servants, who have become enchanted household objects.
Belle takes her father’s place as the Beast’s prisoner.
Over time, despite fear and misunderstandings, Belle and the Beast grow closer.
Meanwhile, the arrogant hunter Gaston plots to force Belle to marry him and later leads a mob to attack the castle.
In the end, Belle confesses her love for the Beast just before the last enchanted rose petal falls, breaking the curse and restoring him to human form.

Additional Content

Some of the 1994 comic issues included:

Short side stories featuring characters like Lumière, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, and Chip.
